SIESA® Coated Valves with carbon steel body and interior coating of fluoropolymers and thermoplastics ranging from PP, PTFE, PFA, PVDF serve to avoid internal corrosion problems, and to avoid external corrosion problems, they have a coating Exterior in epoxy paint. They are highly resistant to corrosion, withstanding any chemical substance at any concentration (up to 250°C) to resist the attack of acids, alkalis and saline environments.
These valves have several features that make them especially useful in industrial and chemical applications where corrosive fluids are handled.
It is a valve designed to allow the flow of a fluid in only one direction and prevent reverse flow.
The SIESA® Three-Way Ball Valve enables flow diversion and control in industrial piping systems.
The SIESA® Male Type Valve has a rotating plug mechanism; It has a Teflon coating, designed for efficient opening and closing.
The SIESA® Butterfly Valve is designed for flow control in industrial piping systems with corrosion-resistant coating.
Quick-closing valve with lug-type connection design for safe and reliable mounting, ideal for piping systems in various industrial applications.
Compact valve for flow control, suitable for installation between flanges in piping systems.
Our valves, as well as our coated pipes and accessories, are made of a
carbon steel piece and interior fluoropolymer coating that has the
following properties:
PTFE: Polytetrafluoroethylene -20° to 500°F (-29° to 260°C)
PFA: Perfluoroalkoxyalkane -20° TO 500°F (-29° TO 260°C)
PP: Polypropylene -20° to 225°F (-29° to 107°C)
FEP: Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene −20 to 300°F (−29 to 149°C)
PVDF: Polyvinylidene Fluoride 0° to 275°F (-18° to 135°C)
ETFE: Tefzel, Ethylene Tetrafluoroethylene -148° to 320°F (-100° to 160° C
SIESA coated valves are designed with high quality materials and with PTFE, PFA, and PVDF coatings. These coatings offer exceptional corrosion resistance, protecting valves from the harmful effects of aggressive chemicals and corrosive environments. This feature is essential to ensure the integrity and performance of the valves in demanding industrial applications, minimizing the risk of failures and leaks.
SIESA coated valves are highly durable in chemical environments. The coatings used not only protect against corrosion but also resist wear and tear caused by continuous exposure to harsh chemicals. This ensures a long lifespan, reducing the need for frequent maintenance and replacement. In addition, the high chemical resistance of the coating materials allows the valves to maintain their functionality and optimal performance even in the most severe conditions.
SIESA coated valves are capable of operating efficiently at extremely high temperatures, up to 250°C. Coatings such as PTFE and PFA not only provide excellent corrosion and chemical resistance, but also maintain their structural and functional properties at high temperatures. This capability is crucial for applications where hot fluids are handled or precise control is required under extreme thermal conditions, ensuring safe and reliable operation.
SIESA coated valves are ideal for the chemical industry due to their exceptional corrosion resistance and durability in aggressive environments. These valves are widely used in chemical production processes, where highly corrosive substances such as acids, alkalis and solvents are handled. Advanced coatings such as PTFE and PFA ensure the valves maintain their integrity and performance, even in constant contact with these harsh chemicals. Additionally, their ability to operate at high temperatures makes them perfect for chemical reaction and synthesis processes.
In the petrochemical industry, SIESA coated valves play a crucial role in managing corrosive and high temperature fluids. They are essential in refining and petrochemical production processes, where hydrocarbons and other chemical compounds require safe and efficient handling. Fluoropolymer coatings such as PTFE provide a strong barrier against corrosion, extending valve life and reducing the risk of leaks. The ability of these valves to withstand extreme temperatures up to 250°C makes them suitable for critical applications in oil refining and the production of plastics and other derivatives.
SIESA coated valves are also very effective in saline environments, such as those found in desalination plants and in maritime and coastal operations. Continued exposure to salt and salt water can cause rapid corrosion in unprotected equipment. However, SIESA's specialized coatings, such as PVDF, offer excellent resistance to salt corrosion, ensuring durability and reliable performance of the valves. This is crucial for preventing failures and maintaining system integrity in applications such as water desalination, salt production and offshore operations.
Project in the Petrochemical Industry – Pajaritos Complex
In this project, PFA-coated pipes, valves and fittings with diameters of 1 ½” and 2” were supplied and installed at the Clorados III plant. Likewise, PTFE-coated pipes and fittings with diameters of 3” and 4” were supplied and installed at the Effluents II plant.
What advantages do ladder-type cable trays have compared to steel and/or aluminum?
Unlike steel or aluminum, our trays are dielectric, that is, they are not energized. Therefore, they are very safe for personnel operating near them.
You do not require an installation to earth ground. This also saves you time and money.
They are easy to install and do not require complex labor.
They are extremely resistant and have a useful life of up to 30 years.
They are not affected by corrosion.
Free from the maintenance that other steel and aluminum solutions require.
Are cable trays safe to use?
Our cable trays are UL (Underwriters Laboratories) tested.
They comply with the NEMA FG1 STANDARD, resist high temperatures according to ASTM E84 with a flame spread index of 15 (Issued by Southwest Research Institute) and ASTM D635, SELF-EXTINGUISHING and FIRE RETARDANT.
What are cable trays made of?
SIESA ladder type cable trays® They are made from fiberglass reinforced plastic using pultruded profiles (polyester and vinylester), which have self-extinguishing and fire retardant properties.
How are the measurements of cable trays calculated?
To determine the dimensions of the cable trays, the following data is needed:
The number of cables to contain.
The individual weight of each cable.
The radius of curvature of the cables.
The separation between the supports in the free spaces.
