GAS WASHER

The scrubber or gas scrubber is a system for the treatment of gases for atmospheric emissions where the contaminated gas present in industrial processes, usually generated with halogenated volatile organic compounds, is treated before they are released into the environment. Its main function is to reduce the emission of harmful gases and solid particles, thus contributing to the protection of the environment and public health.

Scrubbers are used in a wide range of industries, including the chemical, petrochemical, metallurgical, power generation, and manufacturing processes where polluting gases are generated. The choice of the type of scrubber depends on factors such as the type and concentration of contaminants, the gas flow to be treated, and the emission requirements established by environmental regulations.

Advantages and features of the SIESA® Scrubber

  • Made of polyester or vinylester resin depending on the compound to be treated.
  • Manufactured in thicknesses ranging from 1/8″ to 1″ thick
  • The tank, chimney and nozzles can be custom manufactured according to the project requirements
  • High resistance to the corrosion.
  • Manufactured in a single mold for maximum resistance.
  • Dielectric material, with weather resistance
  • Pigmented according to the client's needs.

Uses and applications of Scrubber

Emission control in chemical plants

Scrubbers are essential in chemical plants to comply with environmental regulations and protect public health. These devices remove gaseous and particulate contaminants through absorption and chemical reaction between the contaminants and the cleaning fluid. They capture acidic, basic, volatile organic compounds and heavy metals, significantly reducing atmospheric pollution. Thus, sustainability and eco-friendliness are promoted in industrial operations.
